Keep your candle wick trimmed to the recommended length as per the label and trim it before each relight.

Allow the wax to melt completely
Allow the top layer of wax to liquefy completely and melt to the edges to prevent tunneling.
Safely extinguish the candle
Use a candle snuffer to extinguish the flame and prevent smoke and wax splatters.
